Proud Veterans continuing to serve our communities and support our fellow Veterans.
Our Post has a very active Honor Guard and Color Guard. They are Veterans who volunteer to recognize departed Veterans and show the colors at various local parades and events.
1187 Riders participate in many local events, such as, veteran funeral escorts, Dignified Honors Motorcades, memorial services, local parades and various runs and events around Colorado.
In the spirit of Service, Not Self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve. Our local Unit 1187 Auxiliary supports our Post and delivers many service projects of their own.
Sons of The American Legion exists to honor the service and sacrifice of Legionnaires. Their members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership.
Our Veteran Service Officer can help you navigate the VA and help get you the benefits you earned.
We are committed to “continuing to serve” right here in Castle Rock.
Our Post sponsors and supports a number of activities throughout the year to honor local Veterans.
The American Legion has always been a stalwart champion of patriotism, morality and citizenship.
Post 1187 sponsors local students to Boys and Girls State as well as the American Legion Oratorical Contest.
