Our Post supports a well regarded Honor Guard & Color Guard that is made up of dedicated post members, both from our Post 1187 and other Posts that do not have Honor Guards.
Our Honor Guard provides many services such for Veteran funeral/memorial ceremonies, including “Rendering Military Honors” by the Rifle Squad. Services also include Color Guard for flag presentation ceremonies.
The All Veterans Honor Guard was established over 30 years ago to provide military funerals for veterans of all military services. In addition the Honor Guard/Color Guard performs other services such as marching in parades with flags representing the American flag and flags for all the different military services. We are also called upon to provide Color Guard services for many types of public functions.
Since 1994 the AVHG has provided final military honors at Ft. Logan National Cemetery for over 20,000 veterans.
