Recently, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) has established a new Post in Castle Rock and the American Legion Harry C. Miller Post 1187 would like to extend our congratulations and heartfelt welcome to the community. As a fellow Veteran Service Organization (VSO), the VFW’s mission is “To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military, and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans.” Many Veterans are eligible for membership to both organizations, if interested and to see if you qualify, please visit the VFW eligibility website here.

It is the hope of our Post that together our two organizations can help strengthen the Castle Rock and Douglas County Veteran communities with the mutual respect and dignity that our Veterans and communities deserve. Together we support and work on behalf of all Veterans in our community.
