Veterans, Make Your Voice Heard

Posted by

Veterans benefits are once again in the crosshairs, with the Washington Post’s April 3 editiorial arguing for means testing VA Disability. Whether you are a member of the American Legion or not, our advocacy efforts in Congress and Statehouses nationwide fight for all Veterans.

And while the VA Secretary has already shot down the idea, Veterans need to make their voices heard with their elected representatives. And the American Legion offers the tools to do so via the American Legion Grassroots Action Center.

Whether it’s repeal of the AUMFs, passing the Major Richard Star Act, or protecting Veterans from predatory lawyers, signing up for the Action Center gives you access to tools to share your opinions with your elected officials, or to see what upcomming bills would effect Veterans.

Non-Veterans and non-members can sign up too as an Advocate. The site will prefill messages to the right members of Congress based on you Zip code.
