Reminder to all Legionnaires that our next regular Post meeting is on May 16th at 7 PM. Our speaker this month will be Bill Bridges who will be talking about the unclaimed Veteran remains project and motorcycle escort to Fort Logan for an official ceremony recognizing them.

Born Dayton, Ohio. Drafted into the US Army in 1968 and served from May 1969 to 1970 at Camp Kaiser South Korea. He was the S-2 within the Battalion Headquarters, 1st Bn, 17th Mechanized Infantry, Seventh Division, 8th US Army.

Bill devoted 46 years of his business life to the telecom industry. He served four (4) years as Vice President of Engineering at Qwest Communications and retired in 2015.

Bill joined Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1071 in April 2022 after attending an Honors Burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery. He now serves as a Director of that chapter.

Also as our Adjutant has emailed earlier we will be voting for approval of the Post 1187 Constitution and By-Laws and we will be holding an election of officers.

Currently there are no nominations for Senior Vice Commander and one Junior Vice Commander position. If you are interested in running for one of these positions, or want to nominate someone else, please contact the Adjutant right away so you can be added to the slate.

The swearing in of officers will be completed at the June membership meeting.
