Post 1187 members were proud to serve as Color Guard for the Veterans Day ceremony hosted by the Douglas County Veterans Monument Foundation and sponsored by Douglas County with support from the City of Castle Rock and The American Legion Harry C. Miller Post 1187. This year also recognized the 10th Anniversary of the monument. It was a great day and a great program, including a F-16 Flyover by the 120th Fighter Squadron of the 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard!
Thank you to the City, County, DCVMF, all the speakers and participants, Veterans and their families, all our community supporters, and of course our American Legion Auxiliary members and American Legion Riders.
Earlier in the day, our Post 1187 Color Guard also took part in a joint ceremony with a local Scout Troop.
We hope everyone had a great Veterans Day!
