Friday August 4th was Military Appreciation night at the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo, and it was a quintessentially beautiful Douglas County summer evening.

In addition to complimentary ProRodeo Tickets for Military, Veterans, and First Responders, several local Veterans were honored with recognition at the rodeo. These included 3 American Legion Post 1187 members – District 6 Commander and Post 1187 Finance Officer Wayne Turner, Post 1187 Commander Mike McNairy, and Post 1187 Jr. Vice Commander Keith Kay. Wayne was joined by his lovely wife and American Legion Auxiliary member June.
