July Speaker Info – Veterans of Castle Rock

Reminder to all Legionnaires that our next regular Post meeting is on July 20th at 7 PM. Our speaker this month is Tim Lamonda from Veterans of Castle Rock. Tim joined the Army on July 12th, 1989 as a Military Police Officer with training at Ft. McClellan, AL and his first duty assignment was in Germany. He was stationed in Germany from 1989 thru 1997 in various MP Units with a Deployment to Bosnia in Support of Operation IFOR. In 1998 he was stationed at Fort Knox, KY serving as a Military Police Squad Leader, Desk Sergeant and Special Reactions Team Leader thru 1999 and volunteered for Recruiting Duty in Reno, NV from 1999 thru 2002 where he received the highest recruiting award for excellence the “Glen E. Morrell Award”. His next assignment was at the 25th Infantry Division, 25th MP Co at Schofield Barracks, HI from 2002 to 2005 where he served as a Military Police Operations Sergeant, Battalion Operations Sergeant and Training Sergeant. My next assignment was as a Recruiting Station Commander in Folsom, CA and Fair Oaks, CA from 2005 to 2009 where he supervised a small and large recruiting stations from there he was sent back to Fort Knox, KY where he serviced at the Recruiting Command HQ’s as a Policy NCO and Recruiting Standards Directorate Investigator until he retired in 2013.

Tim served a total of 24 years. He attained my Masters in Leadership Management from Amridge University in December 2017. He has been working in government service since 2014 as a HR specialist, VA Claims Specialist and currently a Home Loan Specialist with the Veteran Benefits Affairs in Lakewood, CO.

He is Married to my beautiful wife Paula for 25 years, I have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
